Hello hello! I'm Wren! I'm a full-time student studying computer science,
who has somehow found time for (entirely too much) FFXIV.
In game, I have a variety of interests! Most often, you can find me tasting the floor of various Savage arenas, roleplaying and geeking out over story, or leaning edgily against venue walls.Outside the game, I enjoy failing to schedule playing D&D, going slowly deaf from listening to emo music at high volume, taking walks in the wee hours of the morning, being a mediocre pocket Mercy in OW2, using too many dependent clauses, and drinking more Monster Energy than water.I am fine with RP in game or over Discord! I don't have a preference - whatever works for you. I'm open to IC only flirting and romantic advances. ERP is negotiable.Mandatory disclaimer that I’m a bit of an ADHD dumpster fire, so if I don’t reply to you, it’s probably because I saw your message and forgot to reply x_xBest way to contact me is via Discord at wrenanigans.

biography

Killhare, named Morgan at birth, was the second child of her mother, Minerva; Killhare’s elder sister, Sabina, was born 32 years prior. When Killhare was five, her sister Elinor was brought into the world. Five years later, her mother gave birth again, this time to twins: youngest girl Fjóna and only boy Sigurda, who later changed his name to Siggy to better reflect his gender.Morgan, as she was then named, had a largely happy childhood. She was a bright, brave, and brawny kit with a taste for adventure - and trouble. Scarcely a day went by that she did not have dirt on her knees and a canary-eating grin on her face. From a young age, she was led by a fierce sense of compassion, and thus her shenanigans were never intentionally harmful; though she received numerous scoldings from the victims of her capers, they were good-humored ones, and her tomfoolery was affably tolerated by most of her tribe.
When her younger sister was born, Morgan’s impishness was tempered, as she found herself given new responsibility. She was never made to parent Elinor, but she did take up a position as mentor and role model for the young kit. As her sister, and later the twins, grew, Killhare became a protective guardian of her siblings. She defended them against playground bullies and bad dreams alike, in the way that only an older sister could. They had a strong relationship from the start, one which Monty - as Elinor nicknamed her - deeply cherished. Her own older sister, Sabina, was ever distant; when she did make a rare physical appearance, it was clear that her mind was on other matters. Being the clan’s ambassador to the outside world, it made sense that the woman was so preoccupied. Despite the eldest sister’s cold seriousness, Monty truly adored Sabina, tailing her like a lost puppy whenever she was around.
Each year that passed, Monty grew stronger, in heart and will as much as body. She relished her role as protectorate of the family, and wished to become a great warrior to extend that guardianship to her whole tribe. When she reached maturity and her sex was revealed, it was assumed that she would choose another path; many believed she would make a fine successor to the reigning matriarch of the village. However, the ever rebellious Monty had no taste for politics, and adapted her dream instead of abandoning it. If she could not venture off and join the Wood-warders, then she would protect her clan from the inside, acting as a last line of defense.Nonetheless, she kept this goal private, and allowed herself to be groomed for the role of matriarch. Despite continuing to harbor her true aspiration, she did not pursue it actively; Monty could not shake the feeling that she was waiting for something. When Morgan had reached 21 summers, the Calamity shook Eorzea, and she realized that this was what she had been waiting for. She knew now the full extent of her dreams; she sought to become not merely guardian of her family or even village, but of all Eorzea. With this intent made crystal clear, she began to plan in earnest, and not a moon after the Calamity did she enact its first stages. On one of her rare trips into Valnain with Sabina, Monty slipped away and escaped to find the city’s adventurer’s guild. She begged those there to train her to fight, but her pleas fell on deaf ears - for the most part. A grizzled Roegadyn by the name of Skoenbyrt agreed to mentor her in the ways of marauding.Ever the quick-witted athlete, Monty was passably proficient with an axe by the end of the week. When she returned to Caerbannog, she practiced tirelessly, absolutely dedicated to becoming the best warrior she could be. She accompanied Sabina on all following trips to Valdain, learning from Skoenbyrt not only to swing her axe but to resent the Empire. She also learned of her homeland of La Noscea - a land that was gloriously free of Garlemald’s vile grasp. Her plan developed, and though she did not share this conviction with anyone, she knew that her future lay across the Ruby Sea. From her mentor came the new nickname of Killhare, earned as the Viera made herself useful killing the beasts that threatened the area - and any Imperial troops that she could get away with. She trained diligently for years, dividing her time between Caerbannog and Valdain. During this time, the city’s discontent with its occupation began to grow into something more violent. This unrest came to a head five years after the Calamity. A small rebellion against the Empire had formed, and Killhare meant to take part, blood having been stoked to a boil by the injustices she saw.Unfortunately, her shining moment as a warrior did not go as planned. During the attack on the Garlean headquarters, Sabina, who was there on diplomatic duty, took an arrow for Killhare, and perished. Kills blamed herself, of course, and hid the depths of her grief deep down in the blackest reaches of her heart. After this failed rebellion, Skoenbyrt announced that she had no more to teach her; Killhare could beat her in a trial of arms nine times out of ten, and the tenth was lost to a dirty trick. Though it pained her thoroughly, Killhare knew it was time to bid farewell to everything she’d ever known and venture forth to Eorzea. She booked passage on a dubious "cargo" ship due to sail the following sunrise, giving her remaining family no time to stop her, and set off for Caerbannog one final time. Her sisters and mother were heartbroken. Though to lose two of their close-knit family at once was a vicious blow, it was one that they did not resent Killhare for delivering; they had seen the fire of determination in her eyes when she held her axe and heard the light of hope in her voice when she spoke of her future. Her family would miss her dearly, but they understood that this was the path she must walk if she was to pursue who she was meant to be, and they would be no family if they were to begrudge her that. With her heart set, Killhare left her home to journey to Eorzea.
